To visit you within Herefordshire in order to discuss a project or to provide a no-obligation quotation for a set piece of work you want completing, there is no charge.

Where pricing hasn't been quoted beforehand for a set piece of work or where fault-finding is required, the following hourly/part hourly guide prices are likely to apply.

Scheduled and callout work during weekday hours will be based on this rate for the first hour/part hour unless a fixed price has been quoted beforehand. Material costs are not included in this price, but there is no VAT to add on

After the first hour, the rate for subsequent hours/part hours drops for scheduled and callout work unless a fixed price has been quoted beforehand. Material costs are not included in this price, but there is no VAT to add on.

These prices are based on man-hours with a qualified electrician/electricians attending any given call-out and charging per person where each are fully engaged in working towards a speedy outcome for any given installation, fault-finding or repair objective. A final invoice will break down the manhours into rates based on the above.

Rates are subject to change without notice. Always check this page for the current rate when booking new work.

The 'subsequent hours' rate relates to additional hours performed for work under a particular job reference number. If other work is subsequently booked which is unrelated to the original job, then the initial hour rate will again apply to that new job.

If you're booking an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), aka Periodic Inspection / Landlord Certificate, domestic EICR's are currently priced at £35 per circuit for the first six circuits, then £25 per subsequent circuit thereafter, With a minimum base price of £180 for distribution boards with less than six circuits. Commercial/industrial & HMO inspections are quoted on an individual basis.

If you are comparing my EICR rates and quotes against other electricians please ensure that they are authorised under their relevant competent persons scheme to carry out this type of work and have all the necessary insurances in place.

Further information about who can carry out EICR's can be found on the relevant  competent persons scheme website, or by contacting their helpline. IF IN DOUBT ASK!! (remember if you are a Landlord it is your responsibility to ensure you have employed the correct person to carry out the work!)

PAT testing is charged at £30 for up to five items, thereafter £2.50 per item. subject to being requested while on-site or within a quote. Not as a stand alone job.
